IN BRIEF

In a combat or security role you'll be part of Australia’s first line of defence, learning to make the right decisions under the toughest circumstances.

You will be trained to protect national interests, personnel and assets, and help out with peacekeeping, humanitarian assistance and disaster-relief operations. Choose from more than forty roles across several Army Corps.

World-class training

Being in a combat or security role means you’ll be handling advanced weaponry and specialised tools. This means you’ll receive some of the world’s best military training to operate this high-tech hardware and sophisticated communications systems.

You'll also need to be exceptionally fit for many of these demanding roles, so the Army will pay you to stay in peak condition and ready for action.
